The Cowboys Came To Town!

The cowboys came to town for the rodeo over the 4th of July! And a show did they put on!

The dictionary says "cowboy" is: one who tends cattle or horses. Interesting enough "cowgirl" has the same meaning - in the female gender. A cowboy can also be referred to as: "cowhand" "cowman" "cowpoke" and "cowpuncher".

These cowboys appear to be much more than "one who tends cattle or horses". They work hard for a chance to overcome the bulls that they ride for 8 seconds. Meanwhile the bulls are bred for performance and have their own statistics some becoming well known. Both are athletes in their own world - one striving to be better than the other.

A Cowboy Prayer

National Anthem

A great part of the rodeo is the music - the music is always very motivating and I often wonder if the bulls recognize it (loud country rock music means to buck! Yes, as soon as the gate is open!)

That must be "cowmusic" --
